A friend…

I still haven’t titled this post yet because I can hardly believe I’m writing it. Our neighbor, Ron Farwell, passed away today after a short battle with cancer.

I have so many memories of this man and his family and my heart goes out to them. I feel so bad that I cannot be there to pay my last respects and to share some time with them while they grieve.

Farwell family – it may take forever to get this note while you filter through all of the messages, hugs, and prayers from others. Ron and Tina were with me at a very tough time when I lost my grandfather. You guys were always there to help, care, laugh, and cry for everyone else. Someone will have to stand in for me in person, but my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

At the car wash

Just a short Larry update to tell you there is no update really. I called mom on Mother’s day and was going to talk to dad, but he was up washing his truck. Maybe I’m crazy but this made me feel really good. Knowing that my dad is off washing his vehicles makes me think that he is on the mend. Having clean cars has been a thing of his forever and if he is spending time doing that I know he is on the right track. I have also read that Ron Farwell is progressing well with his treatment and is in good spirits which also makes me feel pretty good. First person who ruins my mood now is going to get it!

Paris – The Return

We are back from Paris and as expected there are many stories to tell. We had a great time and a great Mother’s day. I owe my mom a big Mother’s day now since she didn’t join us in Paris. I will make it up to her. She is a great mom. It must be true if I typed it here. Love you mom.

Thanks Shane for throwing a story or two in here to keep it lively. I have to scream PHOTOSHOP to my people though. Some of them haven’t seen me in a while and they might think that is actually me. I will have proof tomorrow….although I haven’t looked at the pictures very closely, I might actually look like that. Nice job ShaneCal.

More soon everyone. Larry is still doing well in Orion, no news. Ron Farwell is being looked after in Iowa and being treated. I’ve decided that all that means is that he is getting better and that’s good enough for me.
